When it comes to style I am always the one ready and set to go for it, and it doesn’t matter what age. This week I collaborated with Essence of Fashion in Horsham to style an in house fashion show, it was in Aid of Action Medical Research. It was definitely different and fun especially meeting such positive, empowering and beautiful women. The lady behind the brand is the lovely Alice Chambers, who has a heart so big and soul so beautiful you just can’t help to love her loads.
I decided to join the team for the show to style 6 beautiful ladies who were in their late 30s and above. I loved the fact that they were so confident, and up for anything. I looked at each lady, asked them what colours they liked and what they didn’t want to show. The good thing about Essence of Fashion is the sizes for from UK 10 to UK 20 , which is hard to come across. The collection I got to choose from was great and wearable for all ages, if styled well.
The show was held as Alice’s house which made the whole event cosy and comfortable. It fit 30 people and a table of wonderful treats ( I had alot to eat- especially the cakes and flapjacks ( made by Alice)). I found the atmosphere positive and relaxing for an event, a really good feeling !
Each model was styled according to what suit them from height, complexion and body. It was not hard picking anything for all the models as they were perfect for every look. They were real women, with great figures and a personality I can’t help but love even more.
It was such a pleasure working with these models as they suited alot of the collection. They were curvy, tall, fit and more which allows me to build up my skills on knowing what suits different body shapes and ages. To be honest with these models their was no limits and age was just number because their hearts were all young and all so full of life. The wore every look with style, grace and always with a beautiful smile.
At the end of the show, we brought out the railings so the ladies can start shopping. I am proud to say every piece at the show was sold and even more. We later got everyone ready for the raffles which were all local based from fitness, beauty, fashion, healthy and more. This show raised £355 for the charity!!!!!
