2019 was a year of surprises for me, a year of life changes. I know this a stereotypical line we all use to start a new year. Fortunately, its the truth about 2019 for me. I had a few falls that helped lift my spirits up, I had a few turns and alot of laughter.

Self-Care: Mental Health

2019, was the year to face my fears, deal with mistakes and asking for a helping hand. I had my break downs but I had moments where I knew it only makes me stronger. I decided to face my depression in another way, I asked for help. It started with a wonderful hypnotherapist called Karen and my mum standing by me. I was determined to beat depression without any medication, without an sort of other regretful resources ( drugs or alcohol). It was my chance finally to love myself even more. A year later and I am happy I took 2 steps forward.

I feel blessed that I was able to learn alot about myself through this year. Karen helped with her experience, profession and care. She showed me a new way to think of life, to love myself, to know what makes me happier and to breath in all the madness. As I have ADHD, it sometimes takes over my mind, and sometimes body. I tend to be the person hurt in the end, I had no idea how to calm myself down. Karen gave me a new life.

Self Care: Physical Health

I had an unfortunate injury with my knee in the beginning of the year. It took a toll on my lifestyle. I had to try to find a way of healing without any surgery. I looked to Chiropractors, physiotherapist and Chinese methods. As the my fall on my knee was bad, it effected my hips and spine. I was sort of damaged goods and it made me depressed. I am an active person, so sitting down and doing nothing is not an option.

First, I started with a chiropractors treatment on my spine and hips. The best in town was Dr Edwin from BritChiro. He helped my body transform as well as my mine. I was able to feel less pain, move more and it made me happier.

Second, I looked into a physiotherapist in the town. I came across Alan at Dual Strength and Fitness, he has a reputation of helping alot of athletes from all variety of sports. Alan taught me about my body especially when it comes to exercising. I am currently able to move alot of knee due to sessions with him.

Lastly, Chinese methods. This would include cupping, acupuncture, and deep tissue massage. Mei Wellbeing is my go to for such treatments. I have gone through several cupping sessions and massages which have made a massive difference.

Bucklist

As time passed, I decided to try things on my BUCKETLIST. I finally flew on a helicopter. Why is that a big deal??? I have a fear of heights so it was a very big deal. I sat in the front and saw all of London from a beyond beautiful good map view. Good bless Groupon for this experience.

When I was in South Korea, I went to see my first ever baseball game live. I also flew to Germany, to see one of my favourite Korean Artist, Jay Park. I also got to see several other Korean Artist. These may be small things to others, but big deals to me.

Travel

In all the madness of changes, I still was able to travel. First, saw the historic views of Malta and Gozo. Second, I did my first solo long haul flight to South Korea. Third, I also travelled with a new life long friend to Germany. The trips all taught me something new about myself. It showed my strength, my weaknesses and something new to learn from.

The Future

2020… What in store? whats the plan ? That I can no answer as my life seems to be unpredictable. At this moment, while your reading this I will be in Dubai working on some new projects or another country. I hope to visit more European countries, visit another continent, do more on my bucketlist. There might be a slight surprise here and there on this journey, I AM READY and I say this with a smile.
