I am known to be random and I am completely fine with it especially when I style myself. Random as in I don’t wear a typical black dress or aim to wear pale colours. When I got the chance to get wear new designers Rie & Mil at a photoshoot in Scotland, I took the opportunity to style it with colourful pieces . Rie & Mil pieces are versatile and completely something I do believe every girl needs in their wardrobe. Yeah… Why ? Well its easy ……….

We all want to look different and have those unique pieces which make us individuals. I fell in love with Rie & Mil due to the fact the colours they used were vibrant and silhouettes were flattering. I had a look through their website before I contacted them, I could imagine each piece in my wardrobe, what I can style it with? where I can wear it ?..

I tried on their A-Line Split Bodice which was just perfect one me, from the colour to the fitting. I don’t have big boobs but it just was enough coverage at top part and tucked me in. I decided I would pair it up with some navy trousers, my clarks silver shoes and a blue handbag from Aldo. This is look was perfect for s dinner with friends, meetings and even date night. If you wanted you can change it up pop on a pair of heels and clutch for a evening look with simple accessories. The great part about this split bodice was the fact you can wear it with any length of skirt, trouser or shorts and it just looks great.

I love a simple look that creates a statement, because the bodice had enough colour I decided to just pop on some studded neon earrings. The earrings are from coquette accessories in Dubai. When it comes to make up I tend to try to look as natural as possible, I do have to thank my photographer for helping put the it together of course.

Rie & Mil are an Edinburgh based designer, with techniques like no other. I know Maxine Miller from university and found her work just exquisite. Jerrie Sword is technical and creative as she creates such beautiful textiles for every season. The duo are on top of their world, they pick on each others strengths to create such well designed and stylish designs. I love the brand for their passion as well as their affordable prices.
