In high school I was not a popular girl and not the prettiest girl in the class, but I did not let that stop me when it came to having ideas to do more. I had an amazing principle that pushed me and told me ‘ There is more for you out there, but you need to work hard for it’
I decided when reaching grade 10 its time to step up a gear and change my life…. I started up the Dance club with 2 friends, joined student council and became school photographer as well as being team capital of the girls football team. You would think I would have a nervous break down with all that and still maintaining my grades. I certainly nearly did but it kept me busy and out of trouble!! This continued until I graduated and it was my proudest moment… I received a recognition award for all the time I gave in my work in school.
When it came to going to university, I followed my dream and studied fashion marketing and retail at Heriot-Watt University. While I was there I decided to try different things like dragon boating, university marketer and a dance teacher. It was definitely a good one but my one proudest moment is designing my first menswear shirt and trousers. Some may think its silly to think of that as being proud of but it was something I never did and managed to accomplish it as well as succeed. It was also due to having a great teacher called Vanessa. I advise to try different things in university because that is how you will find your strengths and weaknesses. I know for most the may think, ‘ She doesn’t have a life that is why she does all these things’, that’s not true. All the activities I did gave me an experience and knowledge into what I am capable of doing as a person.
I know for most people this sounds silly talking about my past but I believe it was time to show my lovely readers, a little bit more about me. I am a workaholic and love every bit of my life. I have had a few rocky moments especially starting out my blog. I thought it was best not to show pictures of myself due to it being about showcasing talent but over time people wanted to know the face behind the blog. I got little comments such as ‘ your an ugly, b****’ or ‘you should never been in fashion because your ugly’ or ‘You are embarrassing to our society because of how ugly you are’. I was shocked, I never expected such things from anyone but I guess trolls will be ever where. I got past all the horrible comments and silliness of jealous people with the support of my family, friends and some fab readers.
I write this blog to let everyone know that do not let anyone put you down, if you have a dream ‘GO FOR IT’!
