We ladies have this habit of keeping fit just to reach the right body shape, but we forget to maintain it. This time round I am not stopping; one because I love to eat so there is no way I am going to stay the same shape, two I am happy with my body shape for once and three , it has such a good effect on my back pains ( as I have scoliosis) . I am women with a determination to keep fit and stay healthy.
I change up my exercises each day and go nearly everyday to do some kind of exercise. If I am not in the gym, I am in a fitness class somewhere. I try to not get really muscle physique as that not something I want. ITS ALL ABOUT TONING!! I also work alot of my flat bum.. hahahaha
I put together a small circuit for me to work on every time I come through. I never thought of doing it before but I have seen the results from not stopping. Jumping from one place to another for a minute each is great cardio but also a push to not stop.
I tend to also be colourful going to gym, as most thinking the gym is boring – so why not spark it all up with colour just to brighten up the mood. I am a usual Nike girl from top to bottom… its the colours !!! I love my trainers this time as they were custom made for me:) ( a great birthday present from my best friend, knows me way toooooo well )
Of course I can not forget my 2nd home when I am in Dubai, Physique 57. The place that changed my life. I tend to go there during the weekends to break up all the weights and cardio I keep pushing on. I do 1 hour of getting my body even more toned!
This time I decided to try the new instructors of Physique, Kim this wee pump of energy was a great class to go to after a hectic week for me. I did a mixed class which was a mix of beginners but with more challenges for your body.
Maggie is a joy and tough which is great to have when you need that extra push. I did a beginners class when I go back with her just to ease my self into going back. I was away for a month and no Physique 57 for little me, I was a wee bit scared but it was great in the end.
My advice: ( I am not a professional but I get advice from PT’s and my own personal experience.)
If sometimes you don’t have the chance to go to the gym or a class, trying doing exercises at home. Just by doing 30 minutes everyday, it makes a difference to your day. I sometimes go on to instagram and check ways to do exercises at home for abs, legs and bums. Another thing I forgot to mention, just because you exercise for 30 minutes at home, does not mean you go eat a burger. Try your best to keep a balanced diet.
